Installation of Debian 11 CLI and Remote Server
A.Understanding
In simple terms, installing Debian 11 as a remote server in VMware means
that you install the Debian 11 (Bullseye) operating system in a virtual machine
(VM) run by VMware virtualization software, with the aim that the server can be
accessed and managed remotely.

v Installation Debian
·
Make
sure the debian 11 iso file is installed on the physical device.
·
Open
VMware.
·
Click Create A New Virtual Machine.
·
Choose Typical options, and next.
·
Click Installer
disc image file and click browse.
·
Click the installed
debian iso file and open it.
·
If the iso file is
visible click next.
·
Give a name for the
virtual machine and click next.
·
Give disk for
virtual machine and choose split for disk. And click next.
·
Click Customize
Hardware.
·
Choose Bridged for
network adapter and click close.
·
And click finish.
·
Click Power on
this virtual machine for start virtual machines.
·
Choose Install
for installion types.
·
Choose English system
language.
·
For location search Indonesia.
Other -> Asia -> Indonesia.
·
For configure
locales just choose United states.
·
Choose American English
for keymap.
·
Give Hostname
for Virtual Machine and click continue.
·
For domains
left empty and click continue.
·
Give password for
root password.
·
Enter root password
and continue.
·
provide a full name
for the user and continue.
·
provide a name for
the user and continue.
·
Give a password for new
users and continue.
·
Re-enter new user
password and continue.
·
Pilih western
jika kalian tinggal di wilayah yang menggunakan zona waktu WIB.
·
Choose Guided-use
entire disk for partition.
·
Select disk to
partion.
·
Choose All files
in one partition for new users.
·
And select finish if
the partition is correct.
·
And click yes.
·
For Scan installiaon
media choose no.
·
For use network
mirror choose no.
·
For participate package
usage choose no.
·
Select system
utilities only and click continue.
·
For install grub
boot loader choose yes.
·
For device boot
loader choose /dev/sda.
·
And select continue for
finish the installation.
·
Login with the user
name that has been created and enter the password that has also been
configured.
·
Change the user to
the root user with the su command and enter the configured password.
·
Ping google.com to
make sure the virtual machine is connected to the internet.
·
Click VM in the
Vmware main menu, click settings, click CD/DVD. in the device status page check
the connected section.
·
Type the command apt
install ssh and y to download ssh and be able to remote the server using ssh.
·
To remote the server
using ssh, you can use the putty application.
·
To be able to remote
the server using ssh, you must first know the ip of the server. To find out the
server ip, you can use the ip a command.
·
Because the server
ip is already known, enter the server ip in putty and open.
·
If a display like
this appears, click accept to continue.
·
Login as the user
you have created and enter the configured password.
·
Change the user to
the root user with the su command and enter the configured password.
·
Make sure the user
is already the root user.
·
Log in to anydesk
and enter the anydesk ID of the other user and click connect. Wait for the user
to agree and we can use the user's device using anydesk.
